"Love is the absence of judgment." -Dalai Lama
For a time, I got heavily into listening to testimonies of near death experiences. Countless people spoke about a “life review” they had as part of their experience, and how nonjudgmental it was. Instead, unconditional love was felt and healing took place that shifted their life immeasurably. Throughout the review they came to understand that being imperfect did not make them unworthy of love; it was a transformational knowing. They felt profound depths of love, and the true importance of letting go of judgment.
Those that experienced near death were catapulted into conversion. We don’t need to have a near death experience to have this transformational knowing, though we do need to have a desire to go beyond judgment (of self and others) and choose to embody our worthiness through a process of healing. There are many modalities and others willing to support us in this process. Below, is a mantra (sacred utterance) to assist us in embodying our worthiness and letting go of judgment. For those that want to immerse themselves, please take three deep breaths, and allow yourself to settle into your heart so you can feel this as you repeat:
“Just because I’m imperfect does not make me unworthy of love. Just because I’m imperfect does not make me unworthy of love. Just because I’m imperfect does not make me unworthy of love.
Just because others are imperfect does not make them unworthy of love. Just because others are imperfect does not make them unworthy of love. Just because others are imperfect does not make them unworthy of love.”
When we go beyond judgment, love will guide us. May we all be open and accepting of the love and healing that’s in, and around, us, and our inherent worthiness of receiving it.
