“We generate fears while we sit. We overcome them by action. Fear is nature's way of warning us to get busy.” –Dr. Henry Link

Oh man this is so true for me! I have to admit that it feels like I live in fear. There is just always something I fear that is holding me back. Most often it’s a thought in my own head and not an actual situation to be feared. I will say that I never really considered that much of these fears in my head actually arise when I’m inactive or not being of service. I’m a recovering addict and alcoholic so I live in the 12-step program and the biggest suggestion I get and give is to stay in action, stay in service to others, and to avoid “sitting in your sh*t.” A mind is a dangerous place and inactivity can lead to so many negative things!

So I’ve decided I love this quote. It’s a reminder than fear is nothing that can harm, it’s simply a reminder to get moving… get active… stay in service to others.

Fear is a kick in our pants to live outside of ourselves. Feeling fear? Get busy!
