“The strongest people find the courage and caring to help others, even if they are going through their own storm.” ― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

The strongest people find the courage and caring to help others, even if they are going through their own storm. —Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

You could say we are in the business of people. It’s why we do what we do, for most of us the business of people is who we are. People are unpredictable, change is inevitable and daily life is inconsistent. This is just as true for us as it is for the people we support or come into contact with on a daily basis. Being that we too are people, this means that we experience change, we live in a state of flux… ups and downs. What makes each of us unique? A force for change, capable of making a difference in the lives of everyone we cross paths with? Our ability to experience our own humanity and push through it for the benefit of others. We can be living in unpredictable chaos, full of uncertainty or fear but each day we step in to someone else’s unpredictable chaos full of hope, strength, compassion and the ability to be with people wherever they are in any given moment. You may not feel courageous but I assure you that you are. We are hope, strength, compassion… a judgment free safe space. Next time you look in the mirror remember that you are a vital piece of someone’s puzzle.
