"If you can’t stop thinking about it, don’t stop working for it.” –Michael Jordan
Do you have a dream, a goal, hope for your future, or maybe a plan to change someone else’s life but it seems unreachable? Maybe you are like me and you have this Mt. Everest-sized vision that feels so overwhelming that you can’t get started on making it happen. Even though it seems insurmountable, you can’t get the thought out of your head and everything you do ends up coming back to making it a reality. I get it, I truly do, and I can’t help but come back to this quote. Sure Michael Jordan isn’t some historical genius that changed the face of society or history but he did exactly that for his own world. He grew up with a dream of playing basketball on the world’s stage and had nothing but barriers in his way again and again. Michael never gave up because the dream and the passion never left. He fought for it, he worked for it, and he crushed the barriers in his path. If you look around you, you’ll see person after person that made this journey. The CEO, the quarterback, the ballet dancer in Swan Lake, the Olympian, the BHT II sitting here writing this… all dreams being fought for, worked for, and chased until achieved. My long-term dream is huge, and I’ll never give up because the dream is begging to be made into reality. I’m working towards it one step at a time and I’ve asked others to join my journey and help me work for the dream. My passion, my fight, and my supportive community means that “insurmountable” is just a word and not a truth. What dream do you have that you can’t stop thinking about? How can you start working for it right now and who can you bring along on that journey?
