I encourage you to print this out and read it every day for the next year. Not my words, since I don’t believe myself to be that life changing. Charles Lamb was on to something, though. What happens the day you are born? You enter a whole new life filled with possibilities! This continues to be true each birthday we celebrate, it’s a nod to a year ahead that we have to make new choices and live new options.

Every New Year is this same opportunity but on a larger scale because everyone around us is also walking a new path. We can take Charles Lamb another step further and note that every day is another new beginning. Birthdays, New Year’s, or every morning we can take and make it into something new. That should bring a deep sense of hope and safety. It means that the challenges that naturally come with life can be overcome as we move from one new day to the next. Much like birthdays, I think that is cause for celebration.

We are bravely moving through 2022 so let us take each day for the new adventure that it is and celebrate every moment we can. Here’s to us!
