When we think of fire we picture bold, bright flames of orange, yellow, and red that transform anything that comes into contact with them. Even words connected with fire such as “blaze” incite images of wildfires that can decimate a landscape, or a fire in the hearth that transforms a cold room with warm comfort. What I find interesting is that the hottest and most effective part of a fire is the white flame that’s barely able to be seen. This is also true of each person in the world. It’s not always the big and bold actions that make the real difference. More often than not it’s the subtle actions that carry the real power and change the surroundings. It’s time to ask, “What subtle action will I take to start the wildfire of change?”
