“My country is the world, and my religion is to do good.” – Thomas Paine
I can’t help but love what Thomas Paine is saying here. No matter who you are, what you believe, or what is different about the people you meet… Just be good to others. Maybe you grew up in a world where differences were scary, but we can choose not to be that way anymore. We can make the world a place where being different from each other is what makes us all awesome. (Which is totally true by the way.) And being good to each other should be a given. We don’t know what may be going on inside someone else but a simple smile and “Hi” when crossing paths, or a “How’s your day going so far?” can bring light into the darkness. So, love the differences and be good to the awesome world surrounding you.
