Brave enough

As the month comes to a close, we are reminded that Black history is alive and thriving all year long in all of us. Even though we celebrate the brave men and women who came before us in February, their persistence lives on through us as we continue their fight for inclusion. In me, is the heart to Maya Angelou, the spirit of Ruby Bridges, and the will of Bessie Coleman. Their light shines on. May we be brave enough to step into the light. May we be brave enough to be the light for the next generation.
