Changing and bettering ourselves - Leo Tolstoy

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” – Leo Tolstoy

I’m completely guilty of this. I don’t know about you, but it is really easy for me to see things in the world that need to change. I can see how the systems could be better, how support can be improved, or even how someone could make a choice that would positively impact many. I think it’s part of humanity; we always seek to improve things but how often are we taking that idea and facing it inward? Maybe the best question we can ask is, “How can I change or improve myself in order to be the best version of me for the world I live in?” Maybe that’s the real secret to changing the world… changing and bettering ourselves.
