"Find people who will make you better." -Michelle Obama
While Michelle said this relatively recently, it’s an old concept and one many may have forgotten. Growing up I always heard that if I wanted to know what kind of person someone was, I just had to look at their friends. Maybe we can’t or shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but reading the books surrounding it can still give insight.
So why am I bringing this up? This isn’t a discussion about resilience or hope… or is it? Maybe when you look inside, you don’t like what you see but you are struggling to make the changes you want to better yourself. So, find people who will make you better. Don’t give up on growing and changing just because it’s hard to do alone. We’ve talked about that before, we aren’t meant to live life alone! Do you want to be better? Surround yourself with people that are what you want to be. They will challenge you, push you and grow you. Before you know it you’ll be the person someone comes to in order to better themselves.
Want to be better? Find that better and make it your tribe.
