Wellness Tool #21: People Watching

For my entire life I always thought I was the only one suffering. I have learned in recovery that everyone has suffered or will suffer through something difficult in their lives. I now feel a sense of connection with everyone around me because we are all in this together and we are not expected to do it alone. I use people watching as a wellness tool because it reminds me that I am not alone in my daily struggle. It also reminds me of my biggest need which is to be connected to other people. Which reminds me that to be connected I have to come out of my comfort zone.
