“If you’re going through hell, keep going.” ―Winston Churchill
Everyone here knows that life can be and often is, hard. We shouldn’t avoid that fact or pretend it’s not true. Part of Resilience in Recovery is the ability to recognize that terrible things happen and we CAN overcome them. We can and we will. This quote is so important because it reminds us of the challenges, the issues, the nightmares that come and we have to choose.
Do I stay in this hell or do I fight through it to the happiness I deserve? I can’t speak for you but I sure can’t live in pain forever. I’m resilient and I know that because I’ve been through different hells before but I can’t live in one. Not anymore. I deserve so much better and so do you. So take a moment to note the hell you are experiencing, be grateful it will end and start taking healthy steps to pass through it. Reach out, call to your tribe, share the burden of your pain and press on to the light ahead.
Hell is to be passed through so no matter what, just keep going.
