See the sea

Walking to the beach has always been a treat for me. I imagined that after a few feet of walking on this path, one could hear the sea. This mural was a special one for me because the guests were wanting to see the ocean. One gentleman stated he would love to see a lighthouse. So I went to the computer and chose a scene of a lighthouse on the Oregon Coast. The red roof was a hit, as some of the guests recognized it, but many had never seen a lighthouse in real life.

The hall this mural sits on has a 3 foot span to the other side and another mural on it as well. (I’ll feature that one another day.) This building in Indio is ancient. It was once a hospital — one guest told me he was born there and the place where we were sitting to eat lunch was the baby viewing room. It was such a treat.

We are so fortunate to have this facility full of compassionate staff. I was treated like a queen. Love you all and may you one day see the sea.
