Wellness Tool #6: Meditation

When I first started using meditation, I saw it as a way to clear my mind. However, as I have learned more over time, I see meditation as a way to calm my mind. I use meditation as a way to focus my mind on the present. Meditation allows me to not “own” every thought that comes into my mind. Meditation allows me to acknowledge a negative thought and have it come into and out of my consciousness.
